ABOUT US
The Royal Engineers Rugby Club have announced a new 3 year partnership to play our home fixtures at Medway RFC, a fantastic club with superb facilities and only 3 miles from 1 RSME. Sponsored by Brimstone Group we are in conjunction with the Royal Artillery RFC the oldest service rugby club founded in 1889.
Sapperrugby are now in the building stage for the forthcoming 2022/23 season after a fantastic year which saw them win back the Cannonball Trophy and Corps Championship. With plenty of new talent rising through to the Senior Corps team in recent years, the Sappers will look to continue the momentum from last year with Head Coach Gerhard Wessels and his Coaching staff expecting the squad to mount a strong title defence.
The club continues to support players in development, with many routinely succeeding in representing at full or junior Army level. A number of players play for civilian clubs at National and Junior status.
