The Royal Engineers Rugby Club play our home fixtures at Chatham, home of the Royal Engineers, sponsored by 'Hesco Bastion' (Union) and 'Makita' (League) we are in conjunction with the Royal Artillery RFC the oldest service rugby club founded in 1889.

The Union team have just retained the Army Corps Merit league cup and the league team are the present 'Lawson Cup' holders and The Inter Corps 'Nines' champions. No Corps has ever been the holder of 'both codes' in the same season before. We have produced several international players, and have an ex player now director of rugby at one of the top Premiership clubs; Gloucester RFC at 'Kingsholm' (Dean Ryan)

Congratulations to Darrell Ball (left) who scored a try and was voted 'man of the match' at Twickenham against the Navy, six other sappers also featured on the day with Ben Hughes winning his 26 cap. Great stuff..

Returning from Australia in May 07, playing Australian Army A and Corps Engineer sides and in October played the South African National Defence Force - Result - Victory in all games.

Want to play for the Corps side? Contact Mick Scholes Director of Rugby League or Richard Garrett Director of Rugby Union. Want to Sponsor a Winning side? Contact Max Maxwell, Treasurer for details. Send the team your comments via the 'email box' in the 'contacts' section - we want your comments. Pictures on the 'Unit Page' - updated info required from units..
